Waitlist privacy notice

Maestro is in private development. This notice covers this website and its waitlist. The Maestro dashboard at app.maestro.spot is a separate service, and people invited to it get its own privacy policy before they use it.

Who we are

This website

The site is a set of static pages hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It sets no cookies and serves its fonts itself. Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and request details to deliver and protect the site.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It uses no cookies or local storage and doesn't fingerprint visitors; it records things like the page viewed, the referring site, the country and the browser type, and shows them to us only as totals.

Cloudflare handles all of this under Cloudflare's privacy policy.

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address, the board you picked and what you wrote about your work (both optional), the page you signed up from, your IP address, and when you signed up, were asked to confirm and confirmed your address. We use them only to decide whom to invite first and to write to you about early access to Maestro. We don't sell or share any of it, and we don't add you to any other mailing list.

We keep the list ourselves, in a Cloudflare D1 database, rather than with a newsletter service. Your IP address is used only to check signups for spam and abuse.

When we email you, we send it through Depesha, a transactional email service run by the same operator. Depesha receives your address and the links in the email, doesn't keep the email's contents, and keeps a delivery record of each message. It hands each email to Amazon SES (Amazon Web Services, in the United States) for delivery, under the AWS privacy notice. Before inviting you we email you a link to confirm your address, and we invite only confirmed addresses.

How long we keep it

Until you leave the waitlist, or 12 months after we stop running it, whichever comes first. Every email we send carries a link to leave.

Leave the waitlist

Enter the address you signed up with, or use the link in any email we sent you. We delete the signup and everything it holds at once. Depesha's delivery records of emails already sent to the address stay with our mail.
